SaLU-SALO Agri-Tourism Fair 2022 as part of the 172nd La Union Foundation Anniversary Celebration

SALU – SALO Agri-Tourism Fair 2022
The Provincial Government of La Union through the Economic Dynamism and Competitiveness
Sector composed of the La Union Provincial Tourism Office (LUPTO), Office of the Provincial
Agriculturist (OPAg), Provincial Government Environment and Natural Resources Office (PGENRO), Office of the Provincial Veterinarian (OPVet), Provincial Engineering Office (PEO), and
Local Economic Enterprise and Investment Promotions Unit (LEEIPU) is jointly staging a week-long
Agri-Tourism Fair dubbed as “SaLU-SALO: Saluad La Union para Serbisio, Agri-turismo, Lako ken
Oportunidad.”

LGU AGRI-TOURISM BOOTH EXHIBITION GUIDELINES:

  1. Each LGU shall be given a 2×2 booth shell at the Events Atrium of the CSI The City Mall, City
    of San Fernando, La Union. Booth placements will be identified by the Event Secretariat.
    Ingress will be on February 27 from 1 PM to 7 PM, while egress will be on March 6, 7 PM to 10
    PM;
  2. The booths will showcase the agri-tourism circuits in the province where the community can
    buy fresh fruits and vegetables straight from our farmers, locally processed food products and
    other home-made goods, specialty menus, native dishes and delicacies, among others. It
    shall also host gallery to promote local culture and traditions, tourism and employment and
    environmental conservation through booth activations of cultural heritage artifacts, artworks,
    library resources, tourism resources, job opportunities, Kalikasan Naman initiatives, among
    others;
  3. The SALU-SALO Agri-Tourism Fair will run from February 28 to March 6 and opens from 10 AM
    to 6:00 PM daily following the scheduled mall hours. LGUs must ensure that the booth is open
    during mall hours and shall be manned by not more than two personnel at any given time;
  4. Minimum Health Standards protocols such as wearing of face masks, physical distancing,
    availability of alcohol dispensers and other precautionary measures must be implemented in
    the booths at all times;
  5. The Best Agri-Tourism Booth will be judged based on the following criteria;
    RELEVANCE TO AGRITOURISM
    Use of local products, images and visuals in the booth that reflects relevant
    aspects of tourism branding/promotion of LGUs as specified in Item no. 2 of the
    guidelines.

    Creativity, imagination, originality, effective utilization of space, visually
    appealing and reflects resourcefulness.

    BOOTH ENGAGEMENT
    Delivers unique selling approach, presents promotional materials that attracts
    attention of visitors and a large number of visitors, as well as in sales.

    BOOTH FACILITATION
    Staff reflect enthusiasm, friendliness, and interacts with attendees. Staff is
    knowledgeable in promotional materials, team participation is evident, and
    are professional in appearance.

    OVER-ALL IMPACT ON DISPLAY AND EXPERIENCE 10 %

  6. There shall be three (3) Best Agri-Tourism Booth winners: Champion (P50,000), First Runner-up
    (P30,000), and Second Runner-up (P20,000). Winners will receive trophy and cash prizes.
